Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

It was with shock and great sadness that the Governors, Staff and Students of Spurgeon’s College, along with the nation heard the news that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully at Balmoral yesterday the 8th of September 2022. The thoughts and prayers of the Governors, Staff and Students of Spurgeon’s College will join with millions in the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and from around the world, for His Majesty King Charles III and the Royal Family at this time of great sadness and mourning. While each person will have their own particular memory from the life of our late Queen, many in the Christian community in the UK and around the world, will remember that Her Majesty The Queen’s life of service and dedication was built upon her living and public faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. From the start of her reign to its end, Christ was her example and her eternal Sovereign. God save the King.
